Christmas lights have a way of stopping us in our tracks. They quiet the noise, spark wonder, and remind us that beauty still exists.

For me, it began on a call with some business owners from TN, listening to seasoned installers talk...not about profits, but about joy. I thought, Why not build a business that makes people happy? And LuxeLights was born.

The First Season of Christmas Lights Installation

We trained with pros, built a mentor network, and jumped in - nervous but determined. I lit my own house first, then a local business, then neighbors. Each install brought smiles that made the stress worth it.

As a Woman in the Trade

In a male-dominated industry, some competitors tried to push me out or discredit my work. I didn’t fight back; I focused on building connections with those who supported me. They became my tribe. To the ones who were kind, they have no idea how much I appreciate them. To the ones who tried to push me down, let them watch me build.

The Turning Point

On one of my most exhausting days, I cried and started to self doubt...so I called a friend who told me, “You know what to do. Just go get after it.”  Sometimes you just need one person to believe in you. And that's what I did, get after it.

Why We Do It

I think of my daughters with every light I hang. The holidays should be joyful, not stressful, and we help families soak in the magic without the ladders and tangled wires. And the smiles on everyone's face when they walk on that first night of the lights being up....That is what fills my cup.

Favorite Moments

One of my favorites was a modest home in Salisbury, where the owner’s joy outshone the lights themselves. She was so kind, so sweet, so happy. I can only hope that I can spread joy like she does. It’s never about the size of the house, it’s about the heart inside.

Looking Ahead

We dream of leading in permanent holiday lighting and creating a Lake Norman walk-through light show for families to enjoy year-round. We’re not just stringing bulbs. We’re building joy.
